Adam Hill – Chief Executive Officer

As the founder of Omni Companies, Adam is the visionary of the company and its management team. With a foundation in Accounting and Life and General Insurance Licensing, Adam takes interest in product, rate, marketing, sales and enterprise account relationships. Adam eagerly participates in making a difference for others and particularly enjoys the complex areas of insurance and risk.

Adam also champions the Core Values of the company, the most recent example being his entry into the 2010 Targa Newfoundland Rally raising over $100,000 for Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. As an advocate for keeping our planet healthy for many generations to come, Adam has big plans to make positive changes in the Canadian automotive industry and beyond.

Adam is also the founder and owner of Possibility Holdings which controls Omni Companies among other companies such as Lions Gate Marketing and High Road Warranty.

Adam was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia and moved to Canada at the age of 20. Since then he has established his home in Vancouver and now enjoys quality time with his wife and two children. Other areas of interest include reading, exercise, golf, music, entertaining, and travel. A little less of each with a young family!

Richard Vanderhaeghe - Vice President of Warranty Operations

Richard has been with Omni since its inception and leads the national claims and customer service teams with a solutions-focused approach that keeps customer service at the forefront. A Certified Insurance Professional and Licensed Automotive Technician, he has been involved in the automotive industry since 1987. Richard provides expertise in management, product development, sales, customer service, claims and automotive mechanics and can be contacted for in-depth knowledge and solutions.

Richard’s interest and hands-on experience with vehicles goes back to early childhood when his uncle introduced him to the trade. By age 13, he had replaced his first engine. Richard became a licensed technician in 1993 and worked with a number of automotive franchise dealerships before entering the warranty business as a claims adjuster and manager. On a personal note, Richard lives in Vancouver and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends, playing guitar, and keeping active with cycling, skiing, hockey, etc. He also enjoys fixing up his old home, and has found an eager apprentice in his young daughter.

Eduarda (Eddie) McWhirter - Vice President of Finance

Eddie is a highly motivated, energetic and results oriented professional with over 20 years of Finance and Operations Accounting management experience. Eddie leverages her technical expertise and diverse management style to facilitate success and extract the highest of quality from the teams she manages. Eddie has the ability to provide focus on both the “big picture” and the details of day to day Finance and Accounting tasks with a “can do” attitude.

Eddie continuously fosters a team environment with the goal of mentoring/coaching her employees and to inspire them to continuously and consistently do their best. Prior to joining the Omni team, Eddie was Director of Finance at Citadel Commerce, a public company with a core business of online payment processing. Previous to that, Eddie held various management roles within the Operations Accounting Department of Alderwoods Group, a public company in the death care industry. Handling roles of significant change and building strong accounting departments within a fast paced and dynamic environment while building relationships are Eddie’s key strengths.

Marta Jackson - Vice President of Operations

Marta has over 20 years of management expertise spanning multiple sectors including Healthcare, Technology and Insurance. With extensive experience in Customer Service and Technical Support Call Center environments, Marta has been directly involved in initiatives focused on Customer Service experience, improvement and loyalty in North America and internationally.

Equipped with widespread human resource experience and an educational background in Organizational Change and Business Administration/Information systems, Marta excels in multiple disciplines. Currently, Marta is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Management and holds a Level 1 General Insurance license.

Marta’s impressive direct management and project management style has led to many successful implementations and high performing teams at Omni Companies. As a committed fund raiser for the BC Lung Association she actively encourages others to pursue volunteer opportunities.

Jim Steffler - Vice President of Group Services

Jim Steffler is responsible for the overall operations of our group creditor insurance division including our AssureCredit© and all “private labeled” suite of products. Jim has 20 years of broad and progressive experience within the insurance and financial services industry including both the private and not-for-profit sector with one of BC’s largest member organizations.

Jim is recognized for building effective relationships with partners and by creating high-performing cross-functional teams that deliver client solutions. Jim brings a keen understanding to strategic business development having pioneered numerous corporate development initiatives. Jim sits on the Board of Directors for Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA), is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB) and has an MBA (Financial Services) from Dalhousie University. In addition, Jim holds a life license per Life Level Qualification Program (LLQP) and a Level 1 General insurance license.

Charles Hotel - General Counsel

As General Counsel, Charles is responsible for advising the Omni Companies on all legal and contractual requirements related to the business of the organization, where he strives to provide timely, trusted and practical advice.

Prior to joining the Omni Companies, Charles spent over five years as Director and Senior Legal Counsel for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) and over eight years at Lawson Lundell LLP, where he was a Partner and a member of the corporate finance team. Charles graduated from the University of British Columbia with his Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) in 1993 and from the University of Victoria with his Juris Doctor, Law in 1997.

Charles is a past Director of the Vancouver International Marathon and a frequent speaker at legal conferences and courses. However, most of his adoration (and free time) is directed toward his wonderful wife and two children.
